STRUCTURAL INPLACE ANALYSIS OF SULPHUR LOADING PLATFORM, ADGAS, ABUDHABI, UAE

ADGAS intended to replace all the loading arms at the Sulphur loading platform. Sulphur loading platform is a 4 legged template jacket type structure with an upper deck, cellar deck and boat landing facility at a water depth of 20 m. The work carried out are

UPPER ZAKUM FACILTIES – REPLACEMENT
OF SS BLOWDOWN SYSTEM (EPCM), ZADCO, ABUDHABI, UAE

ZADCO intended to replace the stainless steel blow-down system of Central Complex (CC) of the Upper Zakum field. ZADCO CC is 375m long and 40m wide complex. There are 9 jackets numbered on which 8 deck s are supported (Deck A to Deck H). The scope of this work is limited to Deck E to Deck H. The work carried out are

UPPER ZAKUM FACILITIES – REPLACEMENT
OF 18’’ WEST OIL TRUNK LINE TOP SIDE FACILTIES (FEED) ZADCO, ABUDHABI, UAE

ZADCO intended to replace the existing severely corroded West oil trunk line (WOTL). Structural scope included all engineering work related to the new structures and modification of existing structures in (Central complex and West Satellite platform). The work carried out are

STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY ASSESSMENT OF UMM SHAIF ACCOMODATION PLATFORMS
(USEAP AND USAAP) AND ABK-TIP PLATFORM, ADMA-OPCO, ABUDHABI, UAE

ADMA-OPCO had engaged Technip to carry out a complete structural re-assessment study of two accommodation platforms USEAP, USAAP and ABK-Tip platform. USEAP and USAAP are jack up barge type platform supported on 6 tubular legs with 8 batter piles providing additional support and braces. ABK-Tip platform is a template jacket type structure with four vertical legs fixed to the seabed by means of drilled and grouted piles with four level deck structure consisting of upper, cellar and maintenance platforms.

  • Preparation of structural design basis
  • Performed the In-place Operating storm and Extreme storm load structural analysis with revised models of accommodation platform USEAP in SACS considering the non-linear pile-soil interaction
  • Performed platform integrity checks (member checks and tubular joint checks to AISC-360 and API RP 2A)
  • Specific checks for Joints / connection adequacy between new extensions and existing structures
  • Strengthening Calculations
  • Preparation of report for complete Re-Assessment
  • Preparation of the weight control report for USEAP
  • Performed non-linear push over analysis of ABK-TIP platform using SACS
  • Performed the COLLAPSE analysis to establish reserve strength ratio (RSR) of intact and damaged structure and establish the boat impact capacity of the platform boat fenders.

OFFSHORE ASSOCIATED GASES PROJECT-PACKAGE 1-EPC SR STRUCTURAL ENGINEER (MODULES) REPORTING TO LEAD STRUCTURAL ENGINEER, ADGAS, ABUDHABI, UAE

The Primary objective of the Offshore Associated Gases Pac kage-1 was to process additional quantities of associated gases that would become available in Das Island from ADMA-OPCO when oil production is increased from its present level of 450000 bpd to 600000 bpd.
All the Pre-Assembled Structural modules associated with the project are fabricated Onshore, and then Sea towed to Das Island for onshore installation. The work carried out are

RAS GAS ONSHORE EXPANSION
PROJECT PHASE (2) (TRAIN 6 & 7 EPC), RASGAS, QATAR

This (RGX6) project was executed under a LSTK contract by the Joint Venture between Chiyoda and TECHNIP France. RasGas lII expansion project phase II consisted of Additional LNG train, train 6 + option f or LNG train 7. The Chiyoda / Technip Joint Venture (CTJV) was responsible for EPC, pre-commissioning, commissioning and testing assistance services. The work performed are:

  • Preparation of design criteria for pipe racks
  • Analysis, Design and Detailed engineering of common interconnecting pipe racks, Hybrid structure comprising of steel and RC
  • Analysis, design and Detailed engineering of Technology structures Hybrid structure comprising of steel and RC, Equipment foundations
  • Misc. Pipe supports.
  • Coordination with the connection design team of  William Hare.

CTJV –
QATAR GAS II DEVELOPMENT PROJECT (EPC), QATAR PETROLEUM

Qatar Gas II expansion project phase II consisted of additional LNG train, train 4 + train 5. The Chiyoda / Technip Joint Venture (CTJV) is responsible for EPC, pre-commissioning, commissioning and testing assistance services. The work carried out are

  • Analysis and design of Steel pipe racks, Pipe bridges
  • Design of Foundations for pipe bridges (large span truss) / pipe racks
  • Analysis and design of cylindrical steel towers for firewater monitor, velocity approach meter and its foundations.

  • Design of pipe supports in LNG loading Berth.

CONOCOPHILIPS,
EKOFISK2/4L, ACCOMODATION PLATFORM, SMOE, SINGAPORE

With SMOE, Singapore for ConocoPhillips Ekofisk Project in North Sea. The work involved checking the design of the topside structure based on ‘Stressed Skin Offshore Module’ concept and provides the strengthening required.

ZAKUM CENTRAL SUPER COMPLEX (ZCSC) –
DEMOTHBALLING PROJECT- EPC, ADMA-OPCO, ABUDHABI, UAE

NPCC was awarded the EPC contract for demothballing and re-commissioning of the total facilities in ZCSC complex, Abudhabi

The work executed:
Structural Integrity Check of 1967 installed collector separator platform for the new de-mothballing loading of 550MT including complete structural reassessment of the platform. Activities included

  • Global In place Analysis
  • Extreme environmental load pushover analysis
  • Multi stage spectral fatigue analysis
  • Inputs to Weight Control Report on construct and destruct, Material takeoff, review of vendor Inputs

UMMLULU (UL)
DEVELOPMENT PROJECT- PHASE 1, FEED II, ADMA-OPCO, ABUDHABI, UAE

ADMA OPCO intended to develop UL field in two phases – Phase I and Full field development. Phase 1 involved the installation of the minimum facilities. The work executed :

FEASIBILITY STUDY TO ASSESS THE STRUCTURAL ADEQUACY OF IS23-WELL HEAD PLATFORM TO ACCOMMODATE ADDITIONAL WELL SLOT, OCCIDENTAL PETROLEUM, QATAR

A Conceptual study was performed to address the feasibility of additional well slot in IS-23 Tripod, a well head platform located in ISND field operated by OPQL at a water depth of 36m.
